Cía. Farmex S.A. was founded by Mr. Uriel Castillo Vargas in July 1955, as a company that would devote itself to the importation, distribution, and sale of pharmaceutical products throughout the Costa Rican territory, covering both the private and the institutional sectors, counting to this effect since the beginning with the representation of very prestigious labs, such as Laboratorio Geigy, which later on incorporates the company Ciba. It also counts, practically since its beginning, with laboratories such as Boehringer Ingelhein and other prestigious labs. With the passing of time, the company continued growing until reaching a solid panorama de laboratories in the country, under norms of excellence, backing, and customer service, using to this effect the highest technology in all areas with the intention of providing our clients always with the best alternatives.
